Inside the Inspiration
Founded by sisters Saifra and Romaana Zia, Nyla Noor's beginnings can be traced back to the 1970s, when their father had his own handbag collection.
Although they are five years apart and on different career paths, the sisters knew they both had creative talent.
Both worked in finance, until one day, in late 2008, when they decided to pursue a new path.
The brand is named after the daughters they one day hope to have.
Four weeks into launching their collection, the sisters were hailed by Women's Wear Daily and Elle as Designers to Watch.
